Electronic Arts Intermix is a nonprofit arts organization that focuses on the creation, exhibition, distribution, and preservation of video and digital media art. Their video art collection, founded in 1971 and containing works from the mid-1960’s to the present, is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost and is available for screenings, exhibitions, and acquisitions through EAI’s Arts Media Distribution Service. To celebrate the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, EAI will be presenting a selection of one and two-minute short video works by video artist Cynthia Maughan. The presentation will include two pieces that explore societal beauty standards, Scar/Scarf and The Way Underpants Really Are, plus the eery, absurdist fantasy Coffin from Toothpicks.
